Integrity is the Essence

Atlas Has Shrugged-What Do We Do?

What does Integrity mean?

Derived from the word Integer - which means whole and complete - a person or system in its whole and complete state is in integrity. In our use of the word, we imply that when a person is expressing themselves in a way that is fully aligned with their unique skills, experience, knowledge base, and there are no parts of themselves that is left behind in the past, or projected into the future. Very specifically, that means that there are no words that need to be said, or cleaned up, actions that need to be taken, bills that need to be paid, etc, dealing with the PAST, and similarly, no projections of any actions, words or energy into the future. We are fully present now and expressing ourselves in the most complete and whole way possible.

For example, if we look at our modern world and the situation of pollution, we could describe pollution as stuff out of place. The stuff itself is not bad, or wrong, and could and usually does have some form of usefulness, it is simply that the stuff is in the wrong place, performing the wrong function, and is therefore not integrous.

On the individual scale, a person born with a fabulous and healthy singing voice who doesn't sing, is not being integrous.

Or, if I knowingly lie, deceive, or take from someone, then I am out of my own wholeness.

Everyone, everything, every system, has its own inherent integrity. While this may change with environmental conditions, at each moment in time, the wholeness is intrinsic. Only human beings, with the ability to use their mind, can create and destroy integrity. And here in lies our inherent responsibility.

The more evolved we are, the more we become Positive Deviants, the more responsible we become for our Comprehensive Integrous action. and that of the world around us. Sticking our head in the sand is no longer an option. We must become activists for the Integrous function of all life and systems in Universe. That is the path for the Positive Deviant.

In order to support you on your journey we have a simple checklist, Personal Inventory.

We will also be exploring the big "I" as it relates to leadership, keeping our agreements, managing expectations, running a business, communications, and finally, but certainly not least, how you are your word, both the spoken and unspoken. (In other words, do you walk your talk?)
